Hi Mike. I'm pretty sure you don't need to have/open a Google Account if you just want Google Alerts.

Thanks for your comments Ron. I used Bloglines for a while and it is a good app. Drop back when you've had a chance to try out Google Alerts and let me know what you think.

I use bloglines which is a good for my needs. Not heard of Google alerts before. Sounds really cool so I’ll give it a go. thx for the info. Ron
